About

I was introduced to fly fishing in 2002 by my partner Neil after he persuaded me to come along to a local stillwater for a day. From the moment I picked up a rod I did’nt want to stop until I caught something.  It seemed very addictive! After catching my first fish I was “hooked”.  Since that day I have fished in many rivers and stillwaters around Scotland and have been lucky enough to fish Alaska and Slovenia.  Since then I have met and become friends with many people all round the world, all involved in one way or another in fishing.

My aim is to introduce people of any gender, age or skill to fishing.  As a full time nurse in a physically disabled rehab unit, I would love to help people with any disability to improve their rehabilitation programme whether they have previous experience or not.

Fishing is something that can be relaxing but it can also make your heart pound!

I do not currently hold any professional fishing qualifications but do hope to become qualified in the future.

I live in the southside of Glasgow with my partner Neil and our two cats; Jack & Monkey.  My local fishing spots are the River Kelvin and Coyle Water Fishery, near Ayr where “old” Willie serves up a great bacon sandwich! (and they have nice hard fighting fish too!)

Enough about me!..
